“On The Rocks” is a unique vacation home, built in 2016, in Lake Harmony Estates (LHE) in the Pocono Mountains. It has 7 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, a hot tub, and a gaming area with a pool table, foosball table, and 4-player video game machine. This house is ideal for a getaway for a large group year round. The property is managed by Pocono Mountain Rentals, who provides full service property management, who is available to make sure everything goes smoothly during your visit. Between each rental, the house is professionally cleaned and the hot tub is drained, refilled and balanced.
One feature that sets this home apart is its proximity to a large field of boulders. The southwest corner of the property is part of a ~5 acre glacial boulder field that is very similar to the boulder field at Hickory Run State Park. This house is one of a few properties that borders on the boulder field and allows direct access to it. The boulders range in size from as small as a pebble to larger than a car and it is perfect for hiking and exploring.
LHE is a private community of approximately 300 homes. Lake Harmony is a natural spring fed private powerboat lake that is about 125 acres. The lake is only accessible to guests at Split Rock or those owning or renting a property in LHE. Lake Harmony has a small beach, marina with lake access, and tennis courts. The lake also offers fishing and guests can brings kayaks, canoes, and powerboats on their trip. Lake Harmony Watersports and Yeti Watersports offer various rentals. Split Rock Resort resides at the west end of the lake and many of their amenities are available to those staying in LHE, such as a water park, golf course, miniature golf, movie theater, bowling alley, and arcade. During the winter, it’s a short drive to Big Boulder ski area (5 min) or Jack Frost Mountain (15 min).
One half of the exterior of the house is surrounded by a patio on the ground level and a wood deck on the second level. There is plenty of outdoor seating on the Poly furniture: two 8’ picnic tables, 7 Adirondack chairs, 4 bistro chairs, and several tables. The ground level has a 6 person hot tub. A 3-burner Weber grill is on the second level. The long driveway has plenty of parking.
The ground level has a sectional sofa with a 65” TV and a rustic log 8’ pool table made by Olhausen. An additional game room has a 55” TV, a dry bar with bar stools and a mini-fridge, a Tornado T-3000 foosball table, and 4 player video game machine which is the Dreamcade® Vision 40 with a 40 inch screen. The ground floor has a washer and dryer. The second floor has a two story great room with a sectional sofa facing a 60” TV which sits above a fireplace. The dining area has an 8’ long solid oak table that can seat up to 12 people. Bar stools add seating for 4 more at the kitchen counter. The fully equipped kitchen also has a pantry. All of the bedroom furniture is made from solid cedar logs. All of the bedrooms have a TV and all TVs in the house are smart TVs.
This property is used as the primary vacation home of the owners of this house. They put a lot of thought into the furnishings, the amenities, and comfortable beds that go above and beyond what a typical rental home provides because they want to enjoy it for the 3 or 4 times per year that they stay here.
