Piper’s Penny, a colorful blended Caribbean/Victorian style two story cottage is located in the gated Emerald Shores (ES) Community at 20 Ruby Cove. Recently updated, this three bedroom two story 2.5 bathrooms has newer kitchen/bath cabinets and granite counter tops with plenty of kitchen accessories. The first floor master King bedroom has a large walk-in shower. All bedrooms have their own walkouts to porches. The second floor has a full bathroom including a tub. One second floor bedroom has two full beds and is called the fish bedroom. The second bedroom is the crab bedroom and contains a Queen bed. The living, dining and kitchen is open. In the living area is a pull-out queen sofa/sleeper. A laundry/utility room contains full size washer and dryer. All bedrooms and the living area have flat screen TVs with a blue Ray DVD in the living area. The house is equipped with free wifi/wireless internet connection and an upstairs hallway computer nook for your laptop.

There are three porches with plenty of outdoor seating for get-togethers and a covered BBQ grill. An outside shower is available for those returning from a day at the beach.

The Emerald Shores community also offers a one of a kind beach Pavilion within a four minute walk. In season, it provides a Tiki bar and snack bar. The Pavilion offers showers, picnic tables and restrooms for visitors. The ES community also offers two swimming pools with the bigger one very close! A beach tram goes through the neighborhood during the Peak Summer season taking guests to and from the beach! There is a sand volleyball court next to the tennis court, basketball goal and a shuffle board court located at the north end of the property. A wagon is available for carrying your beach equipment to and from the beach. On the beach there is a fee beach chair service including kayak rentals.
There are many attractions including 500 holes of golf within a 50 mile radius; there is the Harbor walk, Destin Commons, Baytown Wharf, Sandestin, Grand Boulevard, Silver Sands Designer Outlet Mall, two water parks, several movie theaters and more great restaurants abound. If you are lucky to be here from April through October check out the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team Practice sessions, usually held every Tuesday and Wednesday Morning at 11:00 behind the Navel Air Museum. It is free and a great event.
