Fun facts
The Jackson Hole climate (and temperatures around the Teton Mountain Lodge) varies greatly form season to season. Though it can sometimes rise above 90 degrees in the summer, the valley also has a reputation for arctic cold in the winter, with a temperature that rarely climbs above 10 degrees. However, the curious phenomenon called the Inversion Effect can sometimes drive residents to higher elevations on the coldest days to get warm! Don’t believe us? People talk about this as a gift from God because when an inversion hits, cold air is held down near the valley floor by high pressure, so the high mountain regions will be 10, 20, or more degrees warmer!
