The Black Walnut Inn is located in the heart of the Montford Historic District. This finely preserved shingle style home was built by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect of the Biltmore Estate. The Inn is noted for having real woodburning fireplaces, kingsize beds (in some rooms) and all the charm of the Biltmore Era.
