A Taos Landmark with History and Charm
Sagebrush Inn is a Taos landmark built in 1929 of adobe and huge, hand-hewn timbers called vigas. It was originally built catering to guests traveling by carriage along the trade route between New York and Arizona. The original adobe structure, now the cantina and lobby, still houses an impressive collection of Indian rugs and artifacts, New Mexican paintings and original R.C. Gorman works. New guest rooms have been added at different times over the years creating peaceful, shaded courtyards and portal-lined garden areas.
