The West Shore Resort

All of the area's great activities combined with West Shore Resort's cozy cabins makes it an ideal destination for a fun family vacation. You'll have plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. And everyday you can enjoy convenient access to the lake, hiking trails, wildlife viewing, museums, and much more!

There's a reason why West Shore Resort is open during all four seasons. Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a hot bed for outdoor activity all year round. In the spring, the area bursts with new life and wildlife can be seen all around you. It's the perfect time for fishing, hiking, hunting, and ATV riding. When the days start to cool off and the snow returns, you can still enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing – all activities that will allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area!

Lake Gogebic is Upper Michigan's largest inland lake. It's a beautiful destination, great for year-round fishing. Walleye, northern pike, perch, and smallmouth bass are the most common species. Bring your own boat to take out on the water or rent one from the resort. West Shore has a convenient fish cleaning station and live bait is available. Even if you aren't an angler, you can still enjoy relaxing on the shore, swimming, or fun pontoon rides!

West Shore Resort offers eight identical two-bedroom cabins. The interiors differ slightly, but all have a knotty pine interior that will give you a warm, cozy cabin feeling. Inside each cabin you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, refrigerator, coffee pot, and plenty of cookware and utensils. The living area has a sofa bed, a DVD player, and cable television. There is also free Wi-Fi available in each cabin!
