Imagine an older era as you hear the surf crashing against the rocks from almost every room in Rockmere Lodge. Rockmere Lodge is the only bed & breakfast in Ogunquit overlooking the Marginal Way with panoramic ocean views. A turn of the nineteenth century shingle style cottage, this bed & breakfast sits on a slight knoll with commanding views of the Atlantic. Midway along the Marginal Way, you can either walk the beautiful mile-long ocean-side footpath to Ogunquit Village or to Perkins Cove.

You are invited to stroll the grounds, bask in the sun, enjoy the cool sea breeze in the screen enclosed Gazebo overlooking the water or just sit in the shade on an Adirondack chair or relax on the Pagoda swing. The sweeping veranda that wraps around the entire front of the house is graciously appointed with comfortable wicker furniture, making it an inviting place to sit and enjoy the ocean view, nap, read, or meet new friends.
Rockmere Lodge was constructed in 1899 by Mr. George Stearns from Cincinnati, Ohio. Built in the shingle style of the era, it commands an unsurpassed view of the Atlantic Ocean. There also was a windmill on the property, the stone base of which is just to the south of the driveway at the front of the property between the pergola swing and the road.
Built in the grand old style of the Maine shingled cottage, the accommodations at Rockmere Lodge consist of eight rooms, all with private baths, cable TV, and paddle fans.
