The Century Plaza Hotel opened in Century City on June 13, 1966, with the opening of The Tower at the Century Plaza on December 27, 1984. The two buildings are connected by way of an elegant marble corridor, housing a portion of the hotel's $4 million art collection and a commemorative historical photo display. Adjacent to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, the hotel is across the street from the ABC Entertainment Center, Shubert Theatre, Century City Shopping Centre and Marketplace and is minutes by freeway to sandy beaches, Universal Studios and Disneyland, and the airport.
