Rivendell was built of warm red Melrose sandstone in the 1800s at a time when city folk would stay in the home to hunt with the Duke of Buccleuch's foxhounds. Now this comfortable and substantial house is a charming B&B, looking over its garden to the village green. Rivendell is within easy walking distance of St Boswells Golf Club, the River Tweed and 12th century Dryburgh Abbey.
