Built by James Harris in 1872, the Elm Hurst mansion is a fine example of Victorian Gothic architecture and has been fully-renovated to its former glory. One of Oxford County's first commercial cheese factories was erected on the property, and in 1866 the site was the birthplace of Canada's famous "Mammoth Cheese."
