Carcosa Seri Negara is set within 16 hectares of landscaped gardens above the Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur, five minutes from the city center. Carcosa overlooks the Lake Gardens and is encircled by verandas and walkways. Seri Negara, a short stroll from Carcosa, is noted for its stately porticos, surrounding cool terraces and tropical gardens. There are seven suites in the Carcosa Mansion (restored in 1998) and six in the Seri Negara Mansion.
