However, the 23rd annual Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta, deliciously cooking and pouring from September 25th through the 29th, has a celebration overflowing with tastings and teachings. A must are the cooking demonstrations, where local and national chefs show some flair and share their fare. There’s also the reserve wine tasting, where you receive exclusive sips from all 90 participating wineries. The 20th annual Gruet Golf Classic is the way to go for some active dining. Sample your way through the course as six different sparkling wines are paired with food from different restaurants at every third hole. There is one event left: the pièce de résistance, the Grand Tasting! Always held on the last Saturday of September at the Santa Fe Opera, this affair pairs extravagant tastes together with 100 world-class wineries.
